Parched Land

Upon the parched Earth
Lies barren brown grass,
With dry cracked dirt,
Waiting for a drop,
Waiting for the drop,
Waiting for rain
To come, give it a drink,
To revive it from,
A long hot, many months
Of dry, humid scorching days.
