All She Had Ask For

Through matted fur she had
She gaze forlorn out
Of small cage too small for her to fit in
Minimal food and water she received
No loving person came to her
Her days dark and lonely

All she had asked for was a loving home.

She was born in a puppy mill
Cramp conditons in cage to small
No way to move about; no love filled the air
Pace back and forth in a cage
The room was full barks
But she just couldn’t find her voice
Her days looked bleak and unforgiven
She sigh, no future it seem to her

All she had asked for was a loving home.

Until one day through matted fur she saw
Gentle, helpful hand take her away
Gentle smoothing voice ther was
She was whisked away from the awful place
She was cleaned; matted was shaved away
She licked her rescuer with first ray of love

All she had asked for was a loving home.
