Fall Has Not Come

Fall seems to have not come
Summer doesn’t want to let go
Her sunny hot days
Barely the fall leaves have not changed
So much light shines among them to keep them green
Summer put away your season
Bring Fall into cooler days
Let the leaves turn color
Days are growing shorter
Yet Summer wants to hang on more
Let go until next year
Let Fall come breezing in

Dearest Winter

Winter, I loath to see you continue bringing forth your snow.
I am tired of the cold and endless bleak days.
You have made life dark and sluggish.
I can’t seem to work through your season.
Your snowflakes are beautiful, but to drive when it’s blizzard;
Causes me not to want to step outdoors.
Snowy landscape of course is nice but only for a few days I will admire.
Could you try not to make it so cold (as in negative ten degrees)?
I am fine with fifteen degrees but less it can not be;
For who wants to be out in that kind weather
But, I must because I have dog.
Could you think on it for next year please?
I am glad you did make Christmas Eve have some snow.
For it has always been special when it happens.
I am done with your cold, freezing and bleak days.
Can please allow Spring to come forth now?

Sonnenizio On A Line From Keats

Four seasons fill the measure of the year
They refill for when their turn comes
No season should be put on the landfill
For they are needed to fill the each year
Some years they overfill each other
Clashing on previous filled season
Causing temperatures to overfill
Why can’t each season find fulfillment
Why can’t they fill their own season
Instead of refilling the others
I like seeing different fulfilled seasons
Each distinct and overfilled with what they offer
Four seasons should fill the measure of the year
If they are not filled what should we fear.

Confusing Weather

Don’t know what nature
Is cooking up this strange season.

Day 11 for April poem: A fibonacci, or a “fib” has nothing to do with truth or lies. It is a poem based on the fibonacci sequence in math: the number of syllables in each line of the poem is the sum of the previous two lines: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 …. Try writing a six-line fibbonaci, for a total of 20 syllables.

In Between

In between lies the cold and warmth
Ice and snow melt to give way to mud underneath
Both lie together in between winter and spring.
Nature gives way the cold to give spring its time
To bring blossoms and sunny days
But now is the in between time of snow and mud;
The cold and warmth together for a time
Until spring over takes with warmer weather.
